Hello there! I'm an artist with a journey as colorful and unexpected as my work. Though I began as a self-taught artist, I had a brief stint under the tutelage of Grace Treadwell. She was a purist with a penchant for upside-down still life, while I was more drawn to the fantastical. I imagine she'd look at my current work and chuckle, calling me a “pinko commie” with a wink. My creative path has been as dynamic as my art. From hands-on mediums like painting, sculpting, and jewelry design, I transitioned to digital art after a significant injury—one that left me grappling with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. What started as a tragic setback turned into an unexpected blessing. I adapted by embracing fractal generators, which opened a new realm of artistic possibilities. Though I miss the tactile joy of getting my hands dirty, a small bottle of turpentine on my desk still sparks my creativity. Now, I dive into the realms of digital art, focusing on photo manipulation, fractal designs, and 3D creations. My work often explores fantasy, archetypes, deities, and mythical themes. I create mandala-like images from flames and ultra fractals that serve as both intricate art pieces and tools for meditation. There's always a touch of whimsy in my work—because art should be fun! These fractal mandalas are more than just visual delights; they're a personal salvation. After my injury, I mourned the loss of my artistic identity. It took years of searching, and a chance introduction to fractal art by a friend, to rediscover my passion. The fractals I create now not only represent a new chapter but also serve as meditative tools, altar cloths, and even crystal grids. Each piece is a window into a different world, and I hope you'll find one that resonates with you. Today, I live in Connecticut, balancing my time between creating art, attending Renn Faires, and spending time with Ridliegh the Wonder Dog, who’s currently lounging at my feet. Life’s an adventure, and I'm thrilled to share my artistic journey with you.
